For a decade now, PRIMO FILMES is dedicated to creating content and telling stories that make a diference, prioritizing the cinematographic language and quality. The result is an award winning and inovative portfolio, using diferent formats and movie genders – fiction and non-fictional – and the participation in big TV and VOD channels. Movies produced by PRIMO have already received Best Movie awards in all big brazilian film festivals and were also shown in the main iternational festivals like Toronto, Cannes and Berlin. The production agency’s debut was with the movie “O Cheiro do Ralo” (2006) which received awards in the Mostra Internacional de São Paulo and Festival do Rio, and was selected for the Sundance International Film Festival. One of the agency’s great accomplishments is its involvement in many international co-productions with countries like Portugal, France, Japan, United States, Israel, Italy, Uruguai, and more.
Among PRIMO‘s most recent and most featured projects are “A Estrada 47” (awarded with the Best Movie Kikito in the 2014 Festival de Gramado); “Trinta” (a Fox Films International co-production with Matheus Nachtergaele as Joãosinho Trinta) and “A Vida Privada dos Hipopótamos” a documentary released in 2015 for brazilian and american theatres. As for TV productions there’s the “Que Monstro Te Mordeu?” series, created by Cao Hamburger e Teodoro Poppovic and aired by TV Cultura, Discovery Kids and available in Netflix, and the comedy series “Tempero Secreto” aired in 2016 by the GNT Channel.
